On the 25th September 1984, a meeting of the Council of 榴莲社区 was held to determine the way forward with the establishment of an independent school on the Central Coast of New South Wales.
The foundation of the first classroom block was laid on the 1st December 1984 and the first five years saw aggressive land purchase and building development to house rapidly growing enrolment.
The school commenced operation for the 1985 school year with a total enrolment of 165 students and classes extending from Year 3 to Year 11.聽The first Year 12 students graduated the following year in 1986 with enrolment close to 500.
Dr Ron Chambers was the founding Headmaster, succeeded by Richard Lornie in 1986, Bill Low in 2008, and by the current Headmaster Phil O'Regan聽in 2024.
Since the founding in 1985聽the school has continued to grow and develop and is now 39 years old, sitting聽upon a magnificent 18-hectare tree-studded campus with first class facilities and an enrolment of 1,500 students across Kindergarten to Year 12.
