Gold at Junior Ethics Olympiad

Junior Ethics Olympiad Team

We are incredibly proud to announce that our Year 6 Ethics Olympiad team has taken out First Place at the recent Junior Ethics Olympiad, competing against 24 schools from across the country.

Congratulations to our outstanding team members: Lily, Mimi, Camille, Micah and Jet, who represented the school with thoughtfulness, integrity, and impressive teamwork throughout the day.

The Ethics Olympiad is a unique competition that challenges students to think critically, listen respectfully, and collaborate effectively to explore complex ethical issues. Our team demonstrated all these qualities and more, earning the Gold Medal and high praise from the judges.

The Olympiad organisers praised all teams for their thoughtful and well-reasoned discussions, highlighting the impressive standard of dialogue throughout the day. In a highly competitive field, our team was awarded the Gold Medal, with St Michael鈥檚 Grammar School receiving Silver and Wesley College taking home the Bronze. The judges were particularly impressed by the respectful collaboration and critical thinking shown by all students.
